In previous seasons, this side has enjoyed notable success, including lifting the Holder Cup and securing the AFA Division 3 title. Now under the leadership of Bob Beacham, the team enters an exciting new chapter. Bob is a familiar and respected figure at Sutton United, having previously represented the club both as a player and a manager. His return sees him seamlessly re-integrate into the club’s philosophy and culture, bringing experience, passion, and a deep understanding of what Sutton United stands for.
Formerly the club’s Under 18s last season, Bob is now providing this talented group of young players with a vital opportunity to step into senior football, continuing the club’s commitment to long-term player development and clear progression pathways.
The AFA ‘B’ Team has a proud history of success, having achieved back-to-back promotions, lifted the Junior Cup, and claimed both Division 3 and Division 2 titles under the leadership of Jon McNamee. These achievements laid strong foundations for the team’s ongoing development and ambition.
Now competing in the AFA, the highest level ever reached by a third team in the club’s history, the B’s are driven to build on the legacy created by past squads while continuing to nurture and develop current talent. Under the leadership of Bob Beacham, supported by David Smith and Matt Deakin, the team upholds the club’s high standards and core values.
