Sutton United’s first team currently competes in the Midland Football League One.
Building on work done by previous manager and club hero Jamie Hunter, in 2020, SUFC 1st team managed to achieve impressive back-to-back promotions playing fantastic football throughout each season. Jamie will live long in our memories as a great football manager and most importantly… An amazing guy!
Under the management of Liam Burke and Richard Heath and with the additions on some new players over the past three seasons we have secured back to back promotions and won The Fazeley Cup in 2022. The 22/23 season saw us just missing out on play-offs with a respectable mid-table finish. In 2024 for the first time in club history we qualified for The FA Vase, signifying promising times for the football club as we are truly addicted to ensuring excellence on and off the pitch.
Richard had a successful spell at Boldmere before joining us at Sutton United with Liam Burke. He gets across all of our beliefs as a football club and we have been a tale of consistent success under his leadership to this date! New additions off-field for the 25/26 season is Coach ‘Huckers’ previously of Bolehall Swifts & Kitman Marcus Davies who’s been promoted through our club pathway having previously being with the AFA ‘B’ team.
